Happy Birthday Riley

I can't believe Riley is 1! The last year has flown by! We are grateful everyday for Riley. He is such a sweet, cuddly, happy little boy and we couldn't imagine our family without him!

Riley's birth was early, unexpected and a little scary and we were so blessed to have everything go as smoothly as it did, given the circumstances. Because of his early start on life, Riley is behind, but he is doing so well! Just about 1 week before his birthday, he started doing the army crawl/drag, so he is definitely on the move these days! He also loves to be put in his walker, and he can roll around the house faster than I can blink.

He loves Cameron and just about everything Cam does makes Riley laugh, which drives Cam crazy:)
Riley loves to be held and loves to cuddle, which we love too.
He will eat most foods and LOVES to eat all day long.
He loves to be tickled, and he loves bath time.
He doesn't seem to be a big fan of diaper changes, and some days I can barely hold him down.
He loves Cece and tugs on her any chance he gets, unless she is fast enough to get away.

He is such a sweetheart! We love you so much Riley, happy birthday!

On Ry's birthday (March 9) we had a little party with just our little family. Later that weekend we got together with my parents, and Matt's parents for a little birthday party.

Random Stuff

Here's some random pictures over the last couple of months.

Helping in the kitchen

In case you can't tell, that is broccoli, being pulled by the dinosaur train. Cam's idea, not mine. He actually carried around that broccoli stem all afternoon.

When Dad is Away...

...the Family plays!

Matt went to Chicago with his Dad at the end of February, so I took the opportunity to get away (at least 15 miles away) too! I took the kids and we stayed at my parents' for the weekend. I did a little craft shopping with my Mom, hung out with Matt's Mom a little bit and just had a fun weekend!

Thanks to everybody for a fun weekend!

Family Pictures

We FINALLY got family pictures taken. We had them done at Fotofly, and we LOVED both the photographers, and the pictures. We spent the night before being so worried that Cameron was going to be grouchy, since he kind of has a track record with that type of thing.
We were pleasantly surprised to see that he loved the photographers and had a great time playing with them. We got so many smiles out of him. Riley, on the other hand, is normally our little smiley boy, but he was a little bit overwhelmed and we hardly got a smile out of him, but he still looked super cute!

Valentines Get Away

I stopped nursing at the end of January, and with Valentines Day coming up, I wanted to plan a little getaway with Matt. We haven't been away from our kids more than 1 night since Cam was born.

After we dropped the kids off at my Mom's (thanks Mom!) we headed to Blue Lemon for lunch-so yummy! We headed up to Crystal Hot Springs to soak the afternoon away. Next we headed up to Logan and of course had to go to the cheese factory. We stayed at the Anniversary Inn in the Caribbean Cove room and went to Cafe Sabor for dinner. Matt and I did much of our dating in Logan, so there are lots of good memories there for us. After a delicious breakfast in the morning, we headed back to Salt Lake to go to Hale Theater. We have season tickets, thanks to my parents, and it is one of our very favorite things to do together! Finally we headed back to pick up our kids. We had such a great weekend and it was so nice to get away and relax for awhile. The only problem was...I didn't take any pictures, except this one:

Oh well. Happy belated Love Day!
This is what Matt gave me for V-Day. A dozen "flowers" that he folded himself, each with a reason he loves me, written on the inside. Yep. My husband is quite the romantic!

I Love to See the Temple

Cameron LOVES the Temple, including the primary song about it. Everytime we see a building, toy, picture, or whatever with a little point on the top of it, he calls it the Temple. He asks me to sing the song almost every night.

Since we are always talking about the Temple as we pass it, we decided to head down there one Sunday afternoon so he could see it a little closer.

I'm so glad my family is forever!

Doggy Daycare

My niece, Lizzy, was baptized in January. My parents and brother, Brett, flew down to be there. We took care of Brett's dog while they were gone. Missy and Cece took a little while to warm up, but soon after they were buddies, and became especially good at getting into with mischief together.

What started as this...

Became this by the end of the week. Cute, huh?
