Fancy Grandma and Thanksgiving

I was so thankful this year to spend Thanksgiving with my Mom's side of the family.  I haven't been to a Thanksgiving with them for about 7 years, but it worked out this year.  It was such a blessing, because we were able to see my sweet Grandma Fletcher, who died just a couple weeks after Thanksgiving.  Matt and I were also blessed to be able to go out to Vernal and see her about 1 week before she passed away.  We talked to her for a little while, and although she wasn't really coherent, it was still great to be with her.

My Grandma was such a classy lady.  My niece Lizzy called her the fancy Grandma because she always had sparkly clothes on, high heels, and a personality to match.  I have so many wonderful memories of spending summers at her house, Christmases, Thanksgivings, and so many other wonderful memories.  She lived an amazing life, and despite many trials, she has always been cheerful, sweet and kind.  I will definitely miss her, but I'm so grateful she can be reunited with my Grandpa Fletcher...she's been waiting a long time.  I'm so grateful for eternal families, because I know I will see her again.  Although my kids really didn't know her much, and probably won't remember her, she has given us so many stories and memories to pass along.  I love you Grandma!

Happy Halloween!

We had a full, busy, and fun Halloween this year.  Holidays are getting better and better each year as our kids get older.

Cam went as a dog, and yes, that is a real dog toy in his mouth.  Gross.

Matt went as a Zombie Accountant to work.  Pretty good, eh?

Happy Halloween!!

Cornbelly's

In October, Matt and I decided to have a special day, for Cameron.  We took him to Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point.  In true Cameron fashion, he took a full 3 hours to warm up and enjoy himself, but after that, we had so much fun!

My New Baby

There's a new baby at our house, and we sure are loving it.  It's a baby grand piano!  Unbelievably, we found it al DI, thanks to a tip from a friend.  We went to check it out, and got it for a great price.  Its in great condition, and only needed a few fixes.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having a piano in our house.  I play it nearly everyday, and I can't believe how much I've missed having a real piano.  It's so therapeutic after a long day with my kids.  Matt and I both agreed this is one of the best purchases we have ever made.  Our boys love having it here too.  Hopefully they'll both learn to play someday!

End of Summer

The weather stayed great through most of October-which was awesome.  It felt like summer was extended an extra month.  We spent the time with friends and family, playing outside and just enjoying life.

One of those nights we got to babysit my brother's kids, and we all had a blast.  We made crafts, took a walk, played and ate ice cream.

 Cam and Stockton-3 months apart
Cam and Molly.  Cameron LOVES Molly and talks about her all the time!

Cam and his school friends, James and Afton.  Despite many attempts, I couldn't get them to hold still for a picture-this is the best.  Aren't they cute?
This is our sweet neighbor Jack.  He LOVES Cece!

Goodbye summer!  See you in a few months!

Cameron Turns 3!

So...maybe it was 5 months ago now, but our little Cameron turned 3!  I'm looking at the pictures from his birthday and realizing, that now, just a few short months later, he already looks so much bigger and more grown up.  Time seems to fly by!

Cam celebrated his birthday morning by opening a whole bunch of Thomas the Train stuff: trains, Tidmouth sheds, tracks...etc.  It was actually a little overwhelming for him.  Our doctor told us this summer that Cameron has a bit of an anxiety disorder, and a little OCD.  No wonder he has been so hard for us!  But seriously, it was a good thing to learn.  The more we learn and work with him, the more we are understanding the situations that can trigger the anxiety (aka birthdays, holidays, other days that are important and special) and how to deal with it.

Anyway, he spent the morning in a daze, but over the next few days played with everything like crazy.  We also got to celebrate with the Grandmas and Grandpas and a couple uncles.  He had an awesome birthday!

At 3, Cam goes to joy school with a couple of his friends, he LOVES trains, planes, cars, trucks, buses, fire trucks, and anything else that moves.  He goes to primary now too, which is kind of difficult for him, but we know he'll love it soon.  He plays with Riley a lot more that he used to, which I am loving, and he loves to help around the house.  Cam is a super picky eater, and lives mostly off of pb&h, pb&j, cheese roll-ups, yogurt and fruit.  He doesn't nap anymore (sniffle) and he seems to have endless energy, like any 3 year old.  He can be super stubborn, but he is a sweetheart too.  We love you Cam Man!
