Our Cam Man

Many of you know that Cameron has a few social issues that we have been working on.  He started school at a little community preschool, and struggled.  We started seeing a new therapist, got him officially diagnosed with anxiety, and we have seen some real improvements since we started working with her.
We took him out of the community school and were able to get him into a special preschool for kids with emotional disorders.  He LOVES it!  He goes everyday, takes a lunch, and rides a bus there and back.  He feels like such a little grown-up.  Me?  I miss my baby, but the time alone with Riley is nice and I love seeing Cameron become more outgoing in social situations.  In our primary program a couple of weeks ago, Cam got up and said his part clearly without any trouble. He also sang and participated.  For Cameron, that was a huge achievement.  We were so proud of him.  He is getting so much better at dealing with other people, and kids especially.  We still have a lot of things we are working on, but we feel so grateful to have gotten him into this school.  We love our little man!
He also celebrated his 4th birthday in September.  It was so fun to see him feel so awesome about having his own special day.  He was mesmerized by his cake (in fact, we probably shouldn't have wasted money on gifts...a cake would have been plenty!)  We had a little party with my parents and brother, and got to see Matt's Mom the next day too.  It was definitely a special week!

Cam's first day on the bus!
